At the beginning of 2010 The Pool Shower, Inc. moved forward by making several changes. The name became Outdoor Shower Company, LLC, literature was redesigned, a new website was created, and the look changed in order to better identify the product line. Since the company’s inception in 1999, it has been devoted to designing and manufacturing stainless steel showers that will endure harsh outdoor environments. Van Forrester, owner and developer of Outdoor Shower Company had searched extensively for an outdoor shower unit that would be suitable for hotel pool projects his plumbing company was responsible for in the Atlanta area. Realizing that there was not a company that manufactured outdoor showers, he researched the design, materials, and dimensions needed in order to comply with American Disability Act Guidelines and the newly adopted CDC Health Code requirements. With a little help from friends and family, he put together a shower unit that was easy to install, attractive, and met guidelines established by the construction industry. After realizing that other plumbing contractors also had a need for outdoor showers, the next steps were obtaining a patent and setting up the manufacturing process. At that time Van had no idea that one day this product would make it possible to establish a family business. With a lot of hard work, prayer, and determination, family members pitched in with the common goal of letting the world know that these shower units were available to residential and commercial customers. Now after more than 13 years of manufacturing shower units, the company has more than 300 distributors, forty different models and styles, and is shipping shower units worldwide. As the need for additional accessories and features has been expressed by our customers, we have sought to develop new and upgraded models. In the spring of 2005 hot & cold water shower units were developed, and they soon became the top-selling wall mounted shower units. The free standing cold water shower units have remained the most popular shower units in the construction industry because of their features and design. In early 2009, Outdoor Shower Company began manufacturing stainless steel hose bibbs, hot & cold valves, angle valve, concealed valves, and straight valves. Once again this was due to the many requests from customers, especially those with beachfront property. Outdoor Shower Company, LLC has a strong desire to provide customers with the highest quality product available, and is committed to excellent performance and reliability. The assembly, production, and shipment of each shower is supervised at our manufacturing facility which has recently expanded to include all phases of production. As the need for outdoor showers has become both a luxury and a necessity, Outdoor Shower Company has gained recognition as a practical and affordable shower unit because of its versatility.
